1. What we do

TrustCheck Nigeria checks facts and reports findings based on lawful checks, physical observations, documents, references and evidence available during an Assignment.

2. What we are not, and do not claim to be

• We are not a police, intelligence, security or government agency, and we have no police or investigative powers.
• We do not provide police clearance or guaranteed access to criminal records.
• We do not guarantee that a person, business, seller or property is free from fraud or wrongdoing, and we cannot remove all risk.
• We do not give legal, financial, tax, investment or immigration advice.
• We do not certify legal title to land or property. Title and ownership matters need a qualified lawyer and, where relevant, a licensed surveyor.
• We are not a credit bureau and do not give credit scores or reports.
• We do not trace or locate people who do not want to be found, and we do not carry out checks for stalking, harassment, blackmail or any unlawful purpose.

3. Limits of a Report

A Report reflects what could be confirmed at the time of the Assignment. It does not guarantee future conduct, future product performance, the absence of hidden defects or the honesty of anyone later. Things can change after we visit. References and third-party statements are their sources' accounts. When we say we could not confirm something, it means exactly that: not confirmed, not proven false.

4. Product and supplier checks

Inspection confirms what our verifier can physically observe and document at the time of the visit. It is not a guarantee of future product performance, hidden defects, authenticity beyond what can be observed, or that the seller will deliver or ship what was inspected.

5. Property checks

Our property checks are physical observation, location confirmation and document-based enquiries through appropriate channels. They are not a survey, valuation, structural report or legal opinion on title, and they do not replace advice from your lawyer, surveyor or valuer.

6. People checks

Employee, tenant, domestic staff and partner checks report what we could confirm about identity, address, history and references. They do not predict behaviour, and they must not be the only basis for a decision about a person. Use them with your own judgment, a fair process, and any legal duty you have towards the person.

7. Your decision and your responsibility

You remain responsible for every decision you make, including hiring, buying, paying, shipping, renting or partnering. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that results from those decisions. For important matters, take advice from a qualified professional such as a lawyer.

8. Website content, examples and reviews

• Articles, guides and FAQs are general information only. They are not advice for your situation and do not create a client relationship. A client relationship begins only when we confirm an Assignment in writing.
• The sample report on the website is an illustration only. It is not a real result.
• Client reviews are views of the people who gave them, shared with their permission. Experiences differ, and they are not a promise of any particular outcome.
• Information on the website may change and may not always be up to date.

9. Scams and impersonation

Criminals sometimes copy the names of genuine companies. Our contact details are the WhatsApp and phone number +234 810 673 3944 and the email trustchecknigerialtd@gmail.com, and our social pages linked from this website. Confirm payment details through those channels before you pay anyone. We do not ask you for passwords or card PINs.
